Getting started
What is Keymaa?
Keymaa is a restaurant and café system in the cloud: a POS terminal, QR menu and online ordering, a kitchen display, payments and shifts, stock and food cost, staff, and reports, all in one place. It works for restaurants, cafés, fast food and any food business.
How do I sign up?
Open Get Started Free, enter your business name and type, email, phone and address, then the owner's name and a password. Your 7-day free trial starts straight away; no card is needed.
What do I need to use it?
A tablet, laptop, computer or phone with a web browser and an internet connection. There is nothing to install and no special hardware to buy. A receipt printer is optional.
How long does it take to set up?
Most restaurants are ready the same day: add your menu and tables, create logins for your staff, and start taking orders.
Plans and payment
How much does it cost?
Basic is MVR 300 a month and Full is MVR 700 a month. Yearly plans cost less: MVR 3,200 and MVR 7,000 a year. See Pricing for what each includes.
How do I pay?
By transfer to BML account 7770000015462 (Azhar Saeed), with the reference PLATRO- and your business number. Send the receipt by WhatsApp or Viber to +960 779 5363; your plan is switched on within 24 hours.
How long is a plan valid?
A monthly plan runs for 30 days from when it is switched on, and a yearly plan for 12 months. You are reminded 7 days, 3 days and 1 day before it ends.
Is there a contract?
No. Pay for the month or year you want; you can stop at any time without a penalty.
Can I change plans?
Yes. Move from Basic to Full at any time by contacting us on +960 779 5363; what is left of your current plan is counted.
Using Keymaa
Does it work offline, if the internet goes down?
Yes, the POS keeps working. Orders print a kitchen ticket and cash and card sales are kept on the till; everything is sent to the server by itself when the connection is back.
Can my customers order from their phone?
Yes. With the QR menu, guests scan the code on their table and order, or call the waiter. With online ordering they order for delivery or takeaway. You accept each order before the kitchen sees it.
Does it help with MIRA GST?
Yes. Keymaa prints tax invoices with their numbers and gives you the output and input tax statements in the layout MIRA asks for, as PDF and CSV.
Can I run more than one restaurant?
Yes. Add each location and see them on their own or side by side, with one login.
Can I control what my staff can do?
Yes. Each login has a role: cashiers and waiters see only what they need. Discounts above a limit, voids and free bills need a manager, and every change is kept in an audit log.
Will it work with my receipt printer?
Keymaa prints receipts and kitchen tickets through the device's browser, so it works with printers your tablet or computer can already print to.

Is my data safe?
Your data is sent over a secure (https) connection and kept on our hosting servers. Each staff member signs in with their own login and sees only what their role allows, and important actions are recorded in an audit log. Your data is never shared with anyone else.
Who owns my data?
You do. Reports can be downloaded as PDF or CSV at any time.
